Most days I’m cranking through about 180 dials on a predictive dialer from a wobbly desk in my spare room — love the no commute and being able to toss laundry in during wrap-up, but a neighbor’s leaf blower can nuke a pitch and my QA. What’s helped you keep energy up and block background noise — any headset, routine, or dialer setting that’s made a real difference?
Switched to a wired Jabra Evolve2 65 boom mic + Krisp (https://krisp.ai) — it’s a bouncer for the mic and erased the ‘leaf blower’. I also disable AGC in the dialer so it doesn’t pump noise and do quick stand/walk breaks each hour to keep the voice lively; can yours turn AGC off?
I mapped a cheap USB foot pedal to hard-mute in the dialer — a cough button for your foot — huge save when the ‘leaf blower’ kicks on, and faster than fumbling the mouse… I also turn on a little sidetone so I can hear myself and keep energy without shouting, but keep it low or it gets fatiguing. What dialer are you on — can you set a global mute hotkey?
Try NVIDIA Broadcast noise removal if you’ve got RTX; I do 15 pushups each ‘wrap-up’ — got RTX?
I run my mic through VoiceMeeter Banana and set a tight noise gate so only my voice opens; with about 180 predictive dials, a -45 dB threshold, 120 Hz high-pass, and about 150 ms release cut yard noise without touching my pitch. Small caveat: if you open soft it can clip the first syllable, so nudge the threshold up or start with a slightly stronger first word. If you want to try it, it’s free: VB-Audio VoiceMeeter.
For 180 predictive dials, Krisp + wired Jabra Biz sidetone helped: https://krisp.ai — you tried sidetone?
